Open Thursday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Opening times may vary depending on skip exchanges, light levels and extreme weather.

If you're bringing damaged or dismantled items, please cover or tape any areas of exposed foam or we may stop you from disposing of them.
We cannot accept the following items and materials at this centre:
The NHS reuses walking aids such as crutches and frames.

Our Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) are only for local residents to use. The permit scheme helps to prevent trade waste being deposited at our sites.
If you are driving a larger vehicle such as a van or utility vehicle or use a large double axle trailer you will need to apply for a HWRC Permit.
If you're walking to one of our sites you'll need a pedestrian's permit so we can keep you safe.

You can use any HWRC in Cumbria, wherever you live. You can visit sites at Millom, Frizington, Workington, Maryport, Wigton, Carlisle and Brampton, for more information go to the Cumberland Council website.
