Commons Registration Service

Make an appointment to view the register of common land applications.

As a Commons Registration Authority under the Commons Registration Act of 1965 and Commons Act 2006, the Council is responsible for maintaining the registers of common land and town or village greens.

The service has administrative functions only. Information can be provided as to procedures, but where legal advice or interpretation of the law is required, independent legal advice must be obtained.

The registers are available for public inspection, free of charge, between 9.30am and 4pm Monday to Friday (appointment only).
