If the individual being buried is classed as a non-resident, double the usual rate will be applied.

The above fees are subject to be doubled in respect on non-residents of Westmorland and Furness Council.
The deceased person will qualify for the resident rate if they were a resident within the authority area at the time of their death. We can check this using Council Tax records or the electoral roll.
This may be waived in cases where an ex-resident left the locality for care reasons or where exceptional circumstances exist. The council reserves the right to ask for evidence.
Where the individual being interred is classed as non-resident, double the usual rate will be applied to both Interment and Grant of Exclusive Right of Burial Fees.

Visual Tribute & Music Services – Barrow Crematorium
Barrow Crematorium has a modern, digital system that can provide a wide range for any music choice requested. We also offer webcasting of your funeral service, and our Chapel is also fitted with two Tribute screens which allows photographs and video’s to be displayed during the service.
