How to apply
Apply for a pleasure boat and vessel licence online
Apply for a full or restricted boat operator's licence online
If you apply for a boat operator licence, you'll also need to complete a ML5 medical report form and certificate (GOV.UK).

| Full or restricted operator, for six years | £260 |
| Category A: Small craft (rowboats, canoes etc.) | £30.50 |
| Category B: All other craft, up to 6.09 metres | £55.50 |
| Category C: All craft between 6.10 and 9.14 metres | £81 |
| Category D: All craft over 9.14 metres | £126 |
