Street collections licensing

We issue street collection licences under Section 5 of the Police, Factories, etc. (Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1916, as amended by the Local Government Act 1972).

This applies to anyone who wishes to collect money or sell items for charitable or other purposes in a public space in Westmorland and Furness.

Rules and regulations

Each of the three former council areas of Westmorland and Furness have different policies, outlining how many times per year a collection can take place in different zones within their area.

How to apply

Applications should be made at least one month before the proposed date of collection, using the form for your local licensing office below:
