If you are in immediate danger or there is an emergency call 999. If you are unable to speak, dial 55 and you will be transferred to the police.

For 24/7 support, you can call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline for free. They will be able to advise you on your options. This includes vacancies in refuges if you plan to leave, or have left your home.

Who can apply

You can apply as a homeless person if you can't stay in your home due to domestic violence.

Domestic abuse can include:
•    physical abuse
•    emotional abuse
•    psychological abuse
•    sexual abuse
•    financial abuse
•    harassment

It can happen to people of any gender, sexuality, or age. If you're in fear of a partner, ex-partner or member of your family, you may be experiencing domestic abuse.
