Housing energy efficiency grants and advice

You may be eligible for grants which can help to improve the energy efficiency of your home.

You may be eligible for energy efficiency funding if your home has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rated D,E,F, G or it has not been assessed.

Check if your home has an EPC at gov.uk: find your energy certificate.

Your household must also meet the eligibility criteria of the funding scheme you applied for:

Home Upgrade Grant (HUG2) - Key eligibility criteria

There is no mains gas central heating and total household income is below £36,000.

Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) Flex - Key eligibility criteria

  • total household income is below £31,000, or
  • a resident is referred by a General Practitioner, or
  • a household that meet at least two of the Route 2 proxies listed on the Statement of Intent.
