Roose Community Primary School is a happy, thriving primary school, situated on the outskirts of Barrow towards the Coast Road. We have approximately 200 children on roll, in seven classes from Reception to year 6. We also have an on-site nursery.

Our team of experienced staff deliver a rich, broad and balanced curriculum covering the requirements of the National Curriculum and much more. We aim to raise attainment through carefully planned programmes of work matched to individual needs, delivered in a stimulating learning environment.

The Governing body of Roose Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join a team dedicated to putting pupils' well-being at the heart of everything we do and a school committed to high standards of continuous professional development.

The successful applicant will:

Be an outstanding teacher with high expectations and commitment to achieving the best for our children, both academically and personally

Experienced in teaching KS1 desirable

Be a positive role model to pupils, staff, families, governors and the wider community – demonstrating high levels of motivation and enthusiasm

Be committed to inclusion and able to provide exciting, stimulating opportunities for children of all abilities

Be able to work as part of a team

The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. Evidence of appropriate qualifications and professional references will also be required.
