Administrator – 26 Hours per week for 40 weeks per year 
Grade 5b SCP6 – Salary £25,989 (FTE) to Grade 6b SCP 8 – Salary £26,824 (FTE) per annum pro rata. Fixed term until 18 December 2026 due to school budget considerations.

We plan to appoint an Administrator to join our office team for 26 hours per week. The post is for 40 weeks of the year. This post would suit someone with experience in financial administration as well as general office duties. Candidates should be able to communicate with young children, families and visitors. Candidates need excellent literacy skills, good maths and ICT skills and be able to use schools management information systems with the appropriate training.  Candidates must be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school.

Our office team will comprise of a Senior Finance Administrator, a Senior HR Administrator, and two part time administrators (this role). Our office is based at the centre of the school. Our experienced team of staff work together to provide; professional administration systems to support our school staff, families, governors and pupils, as well as high quality education and care for the children.

Tasks and responsibilities will include:
•    To operate as ‘front of house’ in school, answering phone calls, taking messages and responding to emails
•    Taking messages to staff members
•    Answering parental queries and questions about school events, activities and organisation
•    Resolving general enquiries
•    Assist with general administration tasks as requested; shredding, copying, laminating, addressing envelopes, ordering etc.
•    Send routine communications to parents (groups and individuals) using established school procedures including email, text message and school ‘app’ notifications.
•    Attend regular meetings as required and keep abreast of events in school
•    To support the schools’ effective management of resources through good housekeeping, tidying, recycling etc.
•    Comply with school security arrangements, i.e. securing entrances and exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches
•    To assist with any other administrative type activities as directed by the Senior Administrators; booking coaches, typing letters etc.
•    Have an awareness of and comply with all relevant policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and security and any other relevant policies, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
•    Participate in training and other learning activities as required
•    Other duties as required by the Head teacher

The School
St Martin and St Mary Church of England Primary School caters for children aged between 2 and 11 years old. The school provides education based on the practices and principles of the Church of England Trust Deed. Our school opened on 1st September 2013 and is an amalgamation between St Mary’s Church of England Nursery and Infant School with Windermere Church of England Junior School.
