Office Administrator Vacancy
Start date: 7th April 2026 or as soon as possible after this date.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 24 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week

Beetham CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly organised, friendly and professional Office Administrator to join our happy, busy and successful school. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a varied role, and takes pride in maintaining efficient and accurate administrative systems.

Working at the heart of the school, you will be a welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors and pupils, while providing essential administrative, organisational and financial support to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who is:
•    Warm, welcoming and approachable
•    Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
•    Confident in using ICT systems, including Microsoft Office
•    Able to communicate clearly and professionally with parents, staff, governors and external organisations
•    Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities
•    Committed to maintaining confidentiality at all times
Experience working in a school office and knowledge of Arbor MIS would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
•    Provide a professional reception service for all visitors to the school
•    Communicate and liaise with parents, staff, governors and organisations such as the DfE, Local Authority and Capita
•    Maintain and update the school’s website and management information systems
•    Support pupil admissions and enquiries from prospective families
•    Manage school communications including emails, phone calls and letters
•    Assist with financial processes including ParentPay, invoices, subscriptions and account reconciliation
•    Coordinate After School Club bookings and staffing
•    Maintain the Single Central Record
•    Complete scheduled health and safety checks and commission reports where required
•    Support the Headteacher with organisation, administration and statutory returns
