Assistant Headteacher (Permanent)

Leadership Pay Range £58,569 to £64,691

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team as the school expands and develops its high-quality provision for learners with severe learning disabilities aged 4 to 19 years. The students all have an EHCP and may have medical needs.

Sandside Lodge School is a vibrant establishment in Westmorland and Furness. It offers its learners a highly personalised curriculum that supports communication, positive behaviour and independence. The school also follows the Thrive Approach with a major focus on trauma informed practice. The resources allow for EHCP targets to be followed and include a hydro therapy pool and trampoline room to support regulation and for those to follow Winstrada through Rebound Therapy.

We are looking for a proven outstanding leader/manager with experience of teaching students with SEND. The successful applicant must be able to coordinate and motivate teams and also be able to coach and mentor staff across the school.  We are looking for someone to become one of 2 Assistant Headteachers who are approachable and adaptable and have excellent organisational communication skills. We commit to developing the full potential of all of our staff through highly effective CPD opportunities and relevant training.
