Our children, their families and our staff are our most important assets! Due to the retirement of the current postholder, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and caring colleague to work alongside staff, children and governors. We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who loves teaching and celebrates children’s learning across all aspects of the curriculum and primary school experience. Motivated and inspiring in equal measure, the new deputy headteacher will support the headteacher and other members of SLT to continue to strive for the very best for our community. Applicants will be pleased to know that we have a strong ethos of support and teamwork, with many opportunities for professional development.
SJB had a very successful Ofsted inspection in March 2023, judged as ‘outstanding’ in all areas. Our school vision links our aspirations for the children, as learners, with a hope to inspire a love of lifelong learning. We are proud of our inclusive approach towards our children and their families.
Everyone within the school community knows and respects our Core Values and lives by the mantra ‘Succeeding, Enjoying, Belonging’.
As a school, we are highly engaged with our local group of schools - Furness Primary Federation. We have a deep-rooted belief in the benefits of collaboration and shared ambition for our school and the others in the cluster.
Applicants are welcome to participate in a visit to the school, please telephone to arrange an appointment on the visit dates. Application forms and further details are available from the school.
Please return completed application forms to the headteacher, Mr David Reddy.
All staff and governors are committed to the safeguarding of all our children. Pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought, and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies as well as a workplace health
assessment.
