PCD5 £25,989 per annum/pro rata £13.47 per hour, term time (temporary)
The post is initially until the end of the academic year (July 2026) but is very likely to extend and is for approx. 32.5 hours per week.
Required to start as soon as possible.
We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic teaching assistant who can join our dedicated school team. Our ethos puts the child firmly at the centre of everything we do and the decisions we make.
Prior experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs is desirable. Equally important to this role is enthusiasm, flexibility and the ability to use own initiative. The role will involve supporting children primarily in Reception but at times working in other areas of the school.
Believing and understanding that every child is unique and having high expectations of all children, is absolutely vital for this role.
Supporting children with emerging needs, this is a demanding but extremely rewarding role. We are looking for a skilled Teaching Assistant with an understanding of SEND and experience working in Early Years and/or Key Stage 1.
The successful person will be able to build positive and caring relationships with children and use that to help to engage them in learning opportunities in the environment. They should be able to show initiative and versatility in responding to pupils’ individual needs in a calm and appropriate manner. They will work as part of our Reception Team to provide support throughout the week. They, in turn, will have the support of our experienced, dedicated staff team. A relevant Level 2 qualification is essential.
Brunswick School can offer:
• Friendly, happy and confident children
• An opportunity to join our unique team of people who love what they do and the community that we serve
• An extremely supportive Governing Body that strive to build on our successes and provide the very best learning environment, opportunities and experiences for our children
We believe strongly that the child should be at the centre of the decisions we make and so we work closely with families in our diverse school community to build positive relationships and provide a safe, caring and rich learning environment. Through our caring, nurturing environment we are able to provide excellent learning opportunities and experiences whilst maintaining the highest aspirations for every child to succeed.
