Are you someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people who need additional support.  Would you like to work as part of a brilliant team of staff in a small and nurturing setting?  Our school is different to many but provides an excellent education and support for our students.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented person for a supporting position working across the service.  This comes at an exciting time as we have recently opened our third site – a purpose-built facility at Channelside in Barrow.  We work with children and young people in key stages 2, 3 and 4.

Our ethos of nurture and support - coupled with high expectations for the whole learning community, continues to drive us towards greater aspirations for all our learners.  We are always looking to enhance our educational offer, and this post will support our arrangements for students with complex needs and will involve curriculum delivery – we are keen to know what you could bring to our team.

We would encourage a discussion prior to application and welcome visits to the school.  Please contact South Cumbria PRS on 01229 407470.
The PRS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.  Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service for further information please see our Safer Recruitment pages http://www.southcumbriaap.org.uk/vacancies/safer-recruitment/.

All posts involving direct contact with children are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The job description and advert can be viewed on the school website http://www.southcumbriaap.org.uk/vacancies/.  The application form can be downloaded and submitted to leeann.bell@cumbria.gov.uk
