The children, staff and governors of Burlington CofE Primary and Nursery School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well-organised and enthusiastic teacher to join our school team from September 2026. The successful candidate may have experience of, or a willingness to lead, English
across the school. This is a permanent, full-time position, initially teaching a mixed Year 2/3 class.

- Inspires and motivates pupils to achieve their full potential, recognising the dignity and uniqueness of every child
- Maintains high expectations of learning, behaviour and personal development, rooted in care, respect and encouragement
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner, planning and delivering engaging, inclusive and carefully sequenced lessons that enable all pupils to flourish
- Uses thoughtful assessment to support progress and deepen learning
- Builds strong, positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, families and the wider community
- Works collaboratively as part of a reflective and supportive team
- Contributes willingly to the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities and extracurricular activities
