Permanent - Part-time
One position to commence as soon as possible. The working hours will be 11.55am – 1.10pm every day, Monday to Friday.
The second position to commence 1st September 2026. The working hours will be 11.55am – 12.55pm every day, Monday to Friday.
Contracts are subject to the successful completion of a 6 month induction period.
Two vacancies have arisen in our friendly and welcoming school for Midday Supervisors to work as part of a team to supervise pupils in designated areas of the school during the lunch break and to ensure their safety, welfare and general conduct through appropriate application of the school's policies and procedures.
PCD3 £24,796 (A) per annum pro rata, (plus the living wage supplement hourly £13.45) term time only (38 weeks).
Duties will include preparing children for the lunchtime break by the supervision of washing hands, escorting children to and from the hall, assisting during meal times, cleaning up tables etc, developing children’s table manners, supervising and playing with children in the playground, dealing with behaviour incidents in line with school policy, dealing with minor first aid / incidents and to be aware of the fire drill and other health and safety procedures.
South Walney Infant and Nursery School are developing outdoor play as part of the midday supervisor roles.
Previous experience of working within a school, or with children, is desirable but not essential. Training will be given where required.
