Teaching Assistant – Permanent
Term Time only plus 5 Inset Days – Total 39 weeks, 32.5 hours per week –08:30 to 15:30
Salary PCD5A/B – SCP 6 (£ 25,989.00 Per Annum) - Pro rata 

Alston Moor Federation is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have additional educational needs. 

This role is for 32.50 hours a week, and the working hours are 8.30am-3.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch, Monday to Friday, term time only, plus inset days.

Alston Moor Federation comprises of three schools which serve the communities on Alston Moor, and includes Samuel King’s School, Alston Primary School and Nenthead Primary School.  This post will require you to work in Samuel King’s School.  We are a friendly and supportive workplace. You will be joining a team of people who are very good at their jobs, work hard, but know how to look after each other and enjoy being together.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in schools and will have a knowledge of preparing and developing resources for learning activities and supporting learners, inside and outside of the classroom. The post will be in Samuel King’s School.  They will be flexible, enthusiastic and creative. 

There will also be some break and lunchtime supervision of children as part of this role. 
You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support access to learning and provide support for our students. 

Work may be carried out in school but may include accompanying  specific children on school trips and visits.
