Nursery Assistant (Baby Room)
Pay scale PCD5 £25,183 (pro rata) (£13.05 per hour)
Fixed Term till 31/09/2027 dependant on numbers with a view to make permanent.
34 core hours Monday – Friday (hours between 7.45 and 5.30pm (term time only)
Start date 1st September 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Dane Ghyll Community Primary and School and Nursery seek Nursery Assistant with initiative and a caring, positive and flexible approach is required. The post will involve working closely in a team, supporting and providing individual care for pupils with a range of needs. The role will involve initially working in our baby room but also working across our whole nursery site, with children from 9 months – 4 years old.
Essentials
• Is a committed, enthusiastic and has a passion for working with children
•Experience of working in this age range
• Works well as part of a team
• Holds at least an NVQ level 2
• Be a committed team member and be willing to become involved in the wider life of the school
• Have high expectations of both self and pupils
• Able to take the initiative and make decisions.
Desirables
• Confidence in dealing with children.
• NVQ level 3
• Understanding of Safeguarding in School; Health and Safety; Data Protection; Confidentiality issues
• Will support all staff to create stimulating learning environments
