Senior Teaching Assistant – Permanent  Full Time – 32.5 hours  per week 

Required from September 2026

PCD 7 £28,598 ( A) pro rata (£14.82 per hour)

 We are looking for a Senior Teaching Assistant, qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. The role will be to work within a KS1 class and to support children, some with an EHCP.  

The hours of work will be everyday 8.30am-3.30pm. term time 

Applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about working with our children and be able to bring unique skills, talents and experiences to our school. 

We are looking for a person who is:
•    Caring and nurturing
•    Resourceful, motivated and enthusiastic
•    Has experience working with children with additional needs.
•    Assist with the implementation of individual learning programmes (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
•    Contribute to regular assessment and review processes by providing observations and feedback.
•    Have high expectations
•    Have a willingness to work flexibly as a hard-working member of a committed team
•    Be able to adapt learning tasks to meet the needs of the learners
•    Have an approachable, calm and professional manner
•    Support pupils during unstructured times (e.g. break/lunch) and in transitions between activities.
•    Be able to communicate with parents and professionals.
•    Opportunity to work across the School Federation (Hindpool Nursery, Dane Ghyll School).

And has:
•    NVQ level 3 or equivalent
•    Has a good understanding of, and a commitment to the safeguarding of all children
