After School Club Assistant

After School Club Assistant – Part time 15 hours per week 

Part time, 15 hours per week, term time only*- Permanent
Salary:  £25,583 FTE 
Start Date: September 2026

The governors are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Assistant. The post is permanent and is subject to a probationary period. The successful candidate will be required to work 15 hours per week- Monday to Friday from 3pm until 6pm.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, is able to lead activities and help encourage children to engage in a broad range of out of school activities whilst in their care. The ideal candidate will be reliable, caring, flexible and willing to help prepare food for the children to have a hot snack during the session. 

Desirable qualifications:
•    Experience of working with or caring for children or a relevant childcare qualification 
•    A food hygiene qualification (or willing to gain this qualification)
•    First Aid (or willing to gain this qualification)
*There may be additional hours required throughout holiday periods to run a holiday club, this would be in addition to the contracted hours
