Leven Valley CE Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our warm, welcoming and thriving village school as a full-time EYFS/KS1 class teacher to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Class 1, comprising approximately 21 pupils across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, supported by a dedicated and experienced team including a full-time HLTA and full-time Teaching Assistant.

We are looking for someone who:
•    Is an enthusiastic and inspiring classroom practitioner who will motivate and engage young learners.
•    Has a secure understanding of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
•    Can effectively plan and deliver high-quality learning for a mixed-age Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 class.
•    Is willing and able to lead and coordinate the Class 1 staff team.
•    Has a passion for outdoor learning and environmental education.
•    Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils and is committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
•    Is familiar with, and ideally has experience of, delivering a systematic synthetic phonics programme (we use Twinkl Phonics).
•    Can create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
•    Is adaptable, resilient and enjoys the opportunities and challenges of working in a small school.
•    Has excellent communication skills and values strong relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community.
