How we assess reports
Please provide:
- location of the damaged road edge
- estimated length of damage
- severity of deterioration
- add a photo if it is safe to take one

An emergency on the highway is defined as something that is very likely to present an imminent threat to life, serious injury or serious damage to property. Our team will assess the severity of your report and escalate accordingly.

We will usually investigate where:
- a significant edge break exists
- vehicles must avoid the defect
- there is a substantial drop at the carriageway edge
- deterioration affects road safety
