Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) affecting rights of way

Sometimes we have to close sections of footpaths and other rights of way in our area. Find what paths are closed, how to find more information and how to request the closure of a footpath.

Sometimes we have to close public rights of way in our area, due to works or to protect public safety. You can find information about this below, including:

Apply for a closure

If you're planning to carry out works that will affect a public right of way, you'll need to apply for a Temporary Closure Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
