Kendal Fell

Find out more about Kendal Fell and Golf Course Management.

Kendal Fell is a large open space situated to the north of Kendal, accessed via Serpentine Woods or through Kendal Golf Club. The land is designated as a Town Green and is owned by Westmorland and Furness Council, with part of the site leased to Kendal Golf Club.

The area comprises a network of public footpaths, species-rich grassland meadows, and woodland habitats, providing an important recreational and wildlife resource for the community.

The Council is committed to protecting and enhancing the Fell's unique landscape and biodiversity. The Kendal Fell & Golf Course Management Plan sets out the long-term vision, management objectives, and ongoing maintenance activities designed to conserve and improve this valued green space.
