Second Call for Sites
In November 2025 we launched a second Call for Sites to invite further suggestions for land to be considered for allocation in the Local Plan.
In this Call for Sites we expanded the area to cover the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape (as the first call excluded this area) and also broadened the scope of the types of sites that we were inviting.
What types of sites can be submitted?
We invited land submissions for the following uses:
- Housing
- Employment
- Mixed use sites
- Waste
- Minerals
- Retail
- Leisure
- Open space / community use / green space
- Local green space
- Health facilities
- Transport infrastructure
- Habitat creation / nature recovery
- Allotments
- Education facilities
- Burial grounds
- Gypsy, Roma and Traveller pitches and Travelling Showpeople plots
