Third Call for Sites
In Summer 2026 we launched a third Call for Sites to invite further suggestions for land to be considered for allocation in the Local Plan.
What types of sites could be submitted?
We invited land submissions for the following uses:
- Housing
- Employment
- Mixed use sites
- Waste
- Minerals
- Retail
- Leisure
- Open space / community use / green space
- Local green space
- Health facilities
- Transport infrastructure
- Habitat creation / nature recovery
- Allotments
- Education facilities
- Burial grounds
- Gypsy, Roma and Traveller pitches and Travelling Showpeople plots
Previously submitted sites
Sites submitted during the First Call for Sites (2024) or the Second Call for Sites (2025/26), did not need to be resubmit through the Third Call for Sites unless updated information or additional land was put forward.
