SEND toolkit
The purpose of this toolkit is to:
- provide detailed guidance on how educational settings can identify children and young people with different types and levels of need
- provide information on appropriate steps and strategies
- outline the provision expected to be in place in all educational settings
It is important that it is read together with the SEND Handbook.
The handbook provides clear information and guidance on how to:
- meet individual needs through the graduated approach
- involve specialist services
- request an education, health and care (EHC) needs assessment if it is required
