How to give us your feedback about our proposed new Taxi Licensing Policy
We're running a six-week community conversation about our proposed new Taxi Licensing Policy, for:
- drivers
- operators
- owners
- users

Our policy aims to ensure consistently high standards of taxi service, across the whole area. This means residents, workers and visitors can expect a safe, professional and reliable service whenever they travel.
You can have your say by completing a survey. We want to understand:
- the views on the policy held by drivers, owners and operators
- how the proposed changes may affect drivers
- what drivers feel would be a reasonable timeframe to introduce new standards
- the experience of taxi users and what's most important to them
Your feedback will be presented to Cabinet, as part of a report in January 2026. If the new Taxi Licensing Policy is approved, it will come into effect from April 2026
