Warm Spots are run by a range of different organisations including churches, village halls, local councils and libraries.

Warm Spots have their own opening days and times, and what they offer can vary. Please check with them before you travel.

Community Centre with advisors for benefits and housing issues; computers and phone; showers, clothing, outdoor equipment; referrals to other agencies, including food bank.
Free lunch at 12noon; free coffees and teas throughout the day; often free toast, biscuits, etc

Mind In Furness

Drop in for hot drinks & toast. Peer support group chats with advice on staying well, living & fuel costs, housing, relationships, addictions and loneliness.

Outside- In Cumbria

We offer a play and warm hot meal for a family at cost prices, £5 per child and adult. We also have some free places available.

Penrith Library (warm spot)

Warm welcome from library staff onsite, browsing and borrowing of stock, free requests service, loanable storysacks and dementia bags, Free public Wi-Fi, public PCs (2 hours free use per day for library members), printing.
Activities and events for all ages, hearing aid batteries, disabled access, toilet facilities, space to study, read, or just chat with other customers.
Water dispenser. Warm refreshments not available but two local cafes and bakery within 50 yards of the library entrance.

Restore Penrith

Open as a drop in 10-4pm Monday to Saturday with refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits available and Thursday lunch times, when there is also soup and a roll available free of charge.
