Gritting schedule

Sunday, 5th January 2025

Forecast: Snow will continue to fall and accumulate today, although at lower levels and along the immediate coast, snow will be more sleety. Snow will then continue further inland through the
evening and overnight, leading to further significant snow accumulations. RSTs will fall below zero with a risk of ice and snow. However, towards the very end of the night, snow will
turn increasingly sleety, but the very highest roads will continue to see snow falling. Snow will continue to fall away from the immediate coast with accumulations of 2-5cm being seen fairly widely, with the roads further inland seeing depths of 5-10cm, and the very
highest roads will see a further 10-20cm covering. Drifting will be possible over the highest roads, so slightly greater depths cannot be fully ruled out by midday tomorrow.
Additionally, as winds are northeasterly, northeastern-facing slopes will see the greatest snow depths.

The roads marked in blue on the map were scheduled to be treated on this date.
