Homeshare
Homeshare is a service that brings two people together to share a home for mutual benefit:
- a householder is someone who has a spare room and would welcome extra support or companionship in their home
- a homesharer is someone looking for affordable accommodation who is willing to provide help and company in return
This arrangement supports independent living while offering a practical housing solution.
How Homeshare works
Homeshare is a carefully managed arrangement. Each match is based on compatibility, needs, and preferences to ensure a positive experience for both parties.
All participants are vetted and matches are made thoughtfully to create a safe and supportive living environment.
Typically, a homesharer provides a set number of hours of help each week, such as:
- companionship
- light household tasks
- practical day-to-day support
In return, the homesharer benefits from affordable accommodation.
