The Kendal Library team are organising a celebration event which will take place on Saturday 16 September between 11am – 2pm. All the community are invited to this free event which will showcase the wonderful redesign works and include a range of interactive activities and family fun.

Councillor Virginia Taylor, Westmorland and Furness Council Cabinet Member for Sustainable Communities and Localities, said:

“The improvements delivered through the Kendal Library redesign project will benefit the whole community for many years to come.

“The investment in this historical building will enable the Library to become a key hub and focus in the town centre for everyone to use; for library users and adult learners, but also a place where brilliant events happen, like the many which will take place over the summer.

“The celebration event on Saturday 16 September will be a great opportunity to enjoy a day of free family fun in the newly transformed space. So please come along and join us in celebrating this newly redesigned wonderful town asset."
