Barrow Astro Turf Pitches (ATP), located at Barrow Park, are now open to the public for evening bookings.
Over the past 9 months, the floodlit pitches have been used regularly by 13 local football clubs. Now, Westmorland and Furness Council is widening access to allow individuals and community groups to book the pitches for casual games or organised team sessions.
The site boasts six five-a-side pitches and one nine-a-side pitch, which can be split into two seven-a-side pitches, offering flexibility for a range of playing formats.
Pitches are available for public use every weekday evening from 5pm to 9pm. Weekend bookings are also being introduced, with Saturdays and Sundays initially available on request, extending opportunities for weekend play and community use.
Free changing facilities are available on a first come, first served basis, and the site also offers on-site parking and bicycle racks for visitors. It is recommended you bring your own football.

There are no restrictions on age, cancellation requests should be sent at least 72 hours prior to the booking starting, and as of now, bookings must be made 48 hours before the slot starts.
