We are delighted that despite a challenging national landscape for GCSE results, some of our schools showed improvement with a many of their students achieving results at higher levels.
Naturally, GCSE results day is marked by contrasting emotions, with some young people celebrating and others not getting the results they were hoping for. Whatever the result, all students should be congratulated for their efforts and hard work.

If any student is unhappy with their GCSE grades, they will have the opportunity to sit an exam in the autumn, or, in certain circumstances, to appeal the grade through their school or college.
