Westmorland and Furness Council is inviting professionals and service providers who work with children and young people to attend a special networking event as part of ‘Love Our Children Week’.
Love Our Children Week is an initiative launched by Westmorland and Furness Council last year in partnership with their Children in Care Council to celebrate children and young people in their area with a series of special events throughout the week.
The networking event is designed to bring people who work with children and young people together in one place to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge about the local support and services available to families.
If you provide a service for children, young people and families you will also have the opportunity to promote your service to everyone else at the event.
Jonathan Taylor, Assistant Director for Children and Families at Westmorland and Furness Council, said: “This is going to be dynamic networking event designed to celebrate and strengthen Family Help across Westmorland and Furness – but it’s about more than just networking - it’s about keeping our collective promise to support children and families.
“It will be a powerful opportunity to highlight and refresh awareness of what help and support is available locally for families and help those working with children or families to seek advice and support with confidence.”
The Family Help networking event will be taking place in the Assembly Room, Kendal Town Hall on Tuesday 8 July 2025, 9.30am – 12pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
Attendance is free, but spaces are limited. To book your place—and/or reserve a stand to showcase your service—please complete the registration form online or email Childrens.Improvement.WAF@cumbria.gov.uk.
