A once-in-a-generation scheme to transform part of Barrow’s town centre is to go ahead after planning permission for a key aspect of the project was secured.
Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council have been successful in securing £1.6 million from the Government’s Active Travel Fund 4 (ATF4).
Moves are under way to invest £7.3 million of government funding in projects which support local businesses and communities in Westmorland and Furness.
