Councillors will meet next week to determine the next steps in a multi-million pound programme to transform Barrow town centre.

Reassurances have been provided that a multi-million pound transformation of Barrow town centre will have ‘arts and culture at its core’.

Expressions of interest are invited for traders and other businesses who may be interested in operating in Kendal Market when it reopens.

An evening of atmospheric entertainment, food and drink and shopping is planned to mark the official opening of the fantastic temporary Barrow Market.

Work to transform Kendal's historic Indoor Market Hall is set to start in December this year.

After the success of last month’s event, the October Market at Barrow Market will take place in The Mall on Friday from 10am until 4pm.
