A landlord has received a five-figure fine for failing to carry out essential improvements at a damp Barrow Island rental property, despite multiple warnings from Westmorland and Furness Council.
Westmorland and Furness Council’s Portfolio Holder for Finance has announced that he feels he has no choice but to recommend the implementation of increases and charges in a number of service areas following proposed changes to the government’s National Funding Formula for councils.
