School Business Manager
Permanent, full time (term time only)

High Hesket CE School is a vibrant, forward thinking Church of England primary school located in a village setting with strong links to our wider school, church and global community. From September, we are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Business Manager to join our school team. 

The post is a permanent role for 37 hours a week, 41 weeks per year (term time only plus three weeks additional). The required start date will be 1st September 2024 but an earlier start date or period of transition towards the end of the summer term to work alongside the existing Business Manager can be negotiated, subject to the availability of the successful candidate. 

The successful candidate will:
•    Be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues in a range of formats and demonstrate high levels of professionalism 
•    Have experience of administrative work and business management, ideally within an educational environment
•    Be willing to undertake a wide and varied role which will include responsibilities such as: monitoring the register and following up on absences, updating and using the school information system, undertaking a range of complex financial processes and facilitating payroll by working through our HR providers
•    Have understanding of a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel
•    Have prior experience of managing budgets and resources
•    Understand and respect the need for a high degree of confidentiality
•    Support and understand the values and the vision of our school
•    Be committed to safeguarding children and understand that we all have a duty to keep children safe
