Fixed Term Class Teacher to cover maternity leave
(4 days plus PPA as applicable)

 The children, staff and Governing Body of Kirkby Stephen Primary School are seeking to appoint a teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2024. 

 The successful candidates will:
•    Have a passion for teaching and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of how young children learn.
•    Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
•    Have high expectations of our pupils and be able to support children of all abilities through inclusive practice.
•    Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
•    Demonstrate a commitment to achieving high standards and excellent progress for all.
•    Be a positive role model to pupils and other staff; demonstrating high levels of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm.
•    Be able to work as part of an effective and dedicated team.
•    Be flexible, supportive and committed to the full life of the school.
•    Demonstrate good classroom management and organisation.

Kirkby Stephen Primary School is a one form entry primary school for pupils aged 3-11 based in the small market town of Kirkby Stephen. We value working closely with the community to ensure the very best for our children and strive to make the most of our beautiful surroundings.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks, which will include a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (to include a children’s barred list check), references, Right to Work in the UK and a work place health assessment.
