The governors at Selside Endowed CE Primary School wish to appoint a teacher for our EYFS/ KS1 class.

Selside CE Primary School is a fantastic small rural primary and nursery school nestled in the hills just north of Kendal. Our environment greatly contributes to our children’s sense of well- being and provides endless opportunities for learning. This has been recognised by Ofsted (March 2024) ‘Pupils are encouraged to be imaginative and creative in their learning. They surroundings and they are fascinated by the countryside’.

In our recent SIAMs inspection (October 2024). ‘A rich, bespoke curriculum has been skilfully crafted to embrace the school’s location’.

We have happy, well-behaved children who love coming to school and are keen to learn, along with a dedicated staff team.  Our creative curriculum also has a strong emphasis on basic skills and high achievement for all our pupils. Our Christian ethos and values permeate the way the children interact with each other and with adults within the school.

We are looking for:

-    Excellent subject knowledge of early reading skills and mathematics.
-    The ability to work well as part of our team and willingness to play an active part in
              the life of the school.
-    The ability and commitment to create an outstanding learning environment for our          children.
-    Have high expectations, a sense of humour and follow our schools’ Christian values: thankfulness, friendship, respect and courage.
