Class Teacher – Year 5/6 – 0.6 (plus PPA) 
Fixed Term Contract: 1st September 2025 – 31st August 2026 (initially)

We are seeking to appoint from September 2025 a fixed term, part-time teacher (0.6 plus PPA) to teach in KS2. The job will be 0.4 teaching English and Maths to Y5/6 and also teaching two or more foundation subjects to both Y3/4 and Y5/6. (This is likely to be 4 mornings and 2/4 afternoons). This position is being offered, in the first instance, on a fixed-term basis for one year, due a recent headship appointment, but may be extended.

Bolton Primary School is a small, semi-rural primary located in the Eden Valley. We have 60 pupils on roll (2024/5). Our school was successfully inspected by Ofsted in June 2023. Our newest team member should possess the following qualities, skills and knowledge:
•    An excellent teacher who has a thorough understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum.
•    A secure understanding of assessment in Key Stage 2 and experience of delivering KS2 SATs.
•    Demonstrate an understanding and experience of teaching a mixed-age class.
•    Excellent subject knowledge and experience in teaching English and Mathematics.
•    Excellent subject knowledge and experience in teaching in at least two Foundation Subjects.
•    The ability to work well as part of our team and willingness to play an active part in the wider life of the school and its community.
•    Have high expectations and reflect our schools’ values through every facet of their role.
•    Be flexible and prepared to adapt within the dynamic life of a small school. 
•    May coordinate a foundation subject (depending on experience)
