Early Years Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Required to start on Monday 1st September 2025.

Apprentice (National Minimum Apprentice hourly rate £7.55 from 1st April 2025).
Full-time 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break – times to be agreed.
Fixed term until 18th December 2026 (12 month apprenticeship plus 3 months End Point Assessment period).

Term time only plus 1 week for INSET days as a minimum – some school holiday working to be agreed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Early Years team at Barrow Island Community Primary School. We are looking to recruit a friendly, approachable and reliable member of staff who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will work predominately in our Pre-School class alongside experienced Early Years professionals, whilst gaining a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification in partnership with an Apprenticeship training proivder.
