Following staff changes, the headteacher and governors wish to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant. As well as supporting some whole class teaching, the successful candidate will work as part of a team across the school, led by our SENDCo, to prepare and deliver learning that supports individuals and groups of children with SEND.
-This part-time role is based on 32.5 hours per week, and the working hours are 8:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, with a thirty-minute unpaid lunch break each day.
-This a permanent term-time only position to start in September 2025.
- PCD 5 £25,183 per annum (hourly rate £13.05), pro-rata (Actual £18938 p.a.).
The successful candidate will be:
• an outstanding, enthusiastic, resilient and creative teaching assistant with experience of providing highly effective support for pupils’ learning, teachers’ teaching and classroom management
• experienced in working with pupils in Key Stage 2
• experienced in supporting pupils with SEND, including ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), speech & language, emotional and behaviour needs
• both 1-1 and small group, and those with IPPs and EHCPs
• able to work flexibly as part of a dedicated staff team with high expectations in our small, friendly, rural school
• a good communicator who is able to liaise with staff, parents/carers and outside agencies
• understanding of our special church school ethos and able to be a positive role model for our Christian Values
• interested/experienced in using outdoor learning
• confident to share and develop their own skills
• have a good sense of humour
