What we’re looking for:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Team at Kendal Nursery School. The children and governors are searching for a kind, clever, and exciting Early years practitioner to join our amazing team. You need to be fun, spontaneous and love an adventure.
The children want a grown-up who:
Loves being outside — even when it’s muddy, windy, or a bit soggy. We do!
Knows how to make learning exciting and has loads of ideas
Understands little people, you will help when we are stuck, cheer us on when we try, and smile when we do something amazing.
Is not afraid to be silly, sing loudly, or dance like no one’s watching.
Knows how to build a brilliant den, make a potion, or turn a stick into something magical.
Is kind, patient and listens.
Loves telling stories (especially ones that make us laugh!!)
Believes that giggles, cuddles, and curiosity are really important.
Understands we’re all different, and that makes our nursery the best place ever!
At our nursery, we love to explore, get messy, find minibeasts, climb trees, make potions, and pretend we’re everything from dragons to superheroes (sometimes both at once!). We believe that playing is the best way to learn, and we need a special grown-up who thinks that too. So if you like the sound of jumping in puddles, going on bear hunts, and learning through adventure, you might be just who we’re looking for.
The perfect grown-up will have:
HLTA accredited status or QTS
Experience working with children under 5
Knowledge of the Early Years Framework and practice
Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training
Come and see us!
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
