Senior HR Administrator – 37 Hours per week (negotiable) for 41 weeks per year
We plan to appoint a senior administrator to join our office team for 37 hours (negotiable) per week (Monday to Friday). The post is for 41 weeks of the year. This post would suit someone with experience in office administration some of which is specific to an educational setting as well as some experience of human resource administration. Candidates must be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school.
Grade 8b SCP20 – Salary £31,589 (FTE) per annum pro rata – Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
From September 2025, our office team will comprise of a full time Senior Finance Administrator with oversight and responsibility for the management of the school office, a Senior HR Administrator (this post), and two part time administrators. Our office is based at the centre of the school. Our experienced team of staff work together to provide; professional administration systems to support our school staff, families, governors and pupils, as well as high quality education and care for the children.
Tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Prepare Payroll, processing and uploading all the data to SLRP, produce monitoring sheets for inputting onto PSF
• HR including new contracts
• Induction of new staff and volunteers – prepare paperwork and ensure completed, as well as DBS checks, Occupational Health checks etc.
• Oversee administration for safe recruitment
• Responsible for updating the Single Central Record
• Booking Training courses and keeping a record for all staff including statutory qualifications e.g. first aid, minibus, allergens, safeguarding.
• Absence and maternity claims
• Appraisals and overseeing schedules/cover for relevant staff
• Policies renewals and record keeping
• Workforce Census preparation and returns
• Other duties as required by the Headteacher.
The School
St Martin and St Mary Church of England Primary School caters for children aged between 2 and 11 years old. The school provides education based on the practices and principles of the Church of England Trust Deed. Our school opened on 1st September 2013 and is an amalgamation between St Mary’s Church of England Nursery and Infant School with Windermere Church of England Junior School.
