After School Club Supervisor (permanent)

Required from 3rd November 2025
We are looking to appoint a hardworking skilled individual to lead our after-school club. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, including those with additional needs, to provide them with a wide range of opportunities and experiences.
From the 3rd November, we are altering our operating hours for after school club from 3.15-5.45pm Monday to Thursday and 3.15-5.15pm on Fridays.
At after-school club, children have a snack and take part in a themed activity, which as after-school club leader you will coordinate. Children also have access to a range of free-choice activities too.
Our themes, currently are:
Making Mondays: craft based activities
Tasty Tuesdays: food/cooking based activities
Wild Wednesdays: outdoor/nature based activities
Thrilling Thursdays: games/team challenge activities
Film-night Fridays: film night
In addition to the after school club supervisor role, we are also able to offer up to 10 hours of teaching assistant work, if desirable (1pm - 3pm Mon - Fri). These hours would be used to support small group interventions, support children with additional needs in lessons and deliver personalised learning activities.
The after school club hours total 14.5 hours a week (3pm - 6pm Mon - Thu and 3pm - 5.30pm Fri). As such, up to 24.5 hours a week of work is available.
Please specify on your application if you’d like to be considered for the teaching assistant hours in addition to the After School Club Supervisor role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow the schools behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion policies to promote good outcomes for all children.
• Prepare a variety of healthy snacks for children as part of the club. Managing a weekly food order with the school office.
• Plan, prepare and deliver focussed activities to different age ranges which engage, motivate and develop our children.
• Carry out day to day administration, including registers and incident reporting.
• Set up and clear away after-school club equipment.
• To provide first aid to children (on completion of training).
• Liaise with school staff and parents as appropriate to promote good communication.
• Supervise and direct the work of the after school club assistant.
