Teaching Assistant

Temporary part-time teaching assistant
27.5 hours per week - term time 

The Local Governing Board of Vickerstown Primary School are seeking to appoint a patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with their learning. Experience of supporting children with additional needs would be an advantage. Where appropriate, training will be given in order to support the successful candidates. The post begins as soon as possible and is temporary due to pupil numbers (until July 2026) Vickerstown Primary School is a member of South Cumbria Multi Academy Trust (SCMAT), with an aim to inspire young people and change lives through excellence in education in South Cumbria. You will need:
• experience of working with children
• a relevant Level 2 or higher qualification
• the ability to build good relationships
• a basic understanding of how children develop and learn
• the ability to work as part of a team
• good reading, writing and numeracy skills
• patience and a sense of humour
