Required Immediate Start
25-30 hours per week, 5 days a week, hours and hours split can be negotiated- Fixed Term in the first instance- potential for longer contract at the end of the current academic year after budget considerations.
Main Purpose:
• Within an agreed system of supervision, work with teachers to support teaching and learning, providing specialist support to maximise pupil development and achievement. Some of this role would be in our Reception/Year One class. There would also be some 1-1 support in mathematics across the school.
• Roles at this level will be expected to carry out specified work. Senior Teaching Assistants may also supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

• Level 3 Qualification – Teaching Assistant
• Experience of working with and leading small groups or individual children.
• Team member, but also to show initiative when required.
• Is knowledgeable and organised.
• Is helpful, understanding, calm and consistent in their standards and behaviour.
• Is flexible, enjoys sharing ideas and understands the importance of collaboration.
• Will promote the school's chosen Christian values and has an understanding of their importance in Church Schools.
• Has experience working in classrooms.
Desirable Attributes
• Recent phonics training (Read Write Inc or equivalent)
• Paediatric first aider
• Mental Health first aider
• Developing knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice
• Understanding of maths curriculum across the age rages.
