Senior Teaching Assistant

Required from as soon as possible , until 31st August 2026 due to funding.

28.33 hrs per week (8.40am to 3.20pm Mon-Fri, with a 60 minute lunch break)

A vacancy has arisen in our popular and highly successful Primary & Nursery School and we are seeking to appoint a Senior Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working, dedicated staff team.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a large and friendly school that is extremely well resourced.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the KS2 team, under the guidance of the SENCO. 

We are looking for a candidate who has experience of working with children in a Primary School setting; who can bring their own skills and interests to enhance the life of the school; is flexible and highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and works well as part of a team.  Experience in supporting children with SEN would be an advantage. Recent experience in KS2 would also be an advantage.

Visits to the school and/or discussions with members of the Senior Leadership Team are positively encouraged.

Essential qualifications:  A relevant QCF recognised Level 2 qualification.
